Southwest Hava Yolları Pilotlar Derneği (SWAPA), Şirketin önerisiyle 500’den fazla pilotun erken emeklilik teklifini kabul ettiğini açıklamıştı.
COVID19 krizi nedeniyle finansman sıkıntısı yaşayan şirketin, pilotların yasal hakları verilerek erken emekli olması yönündeki teklifi uygulanmaya başladı.
SWAPA’nın sosyal medyaya hesabından yapılan bilgilendirilmeye göre bunlardan biri de kaptan pilot Luther Williams oldu. Williams 17 yıllık görevinin ardından emekli olmayı seçti.
SWAPA bundan öncede emekli olmayı tercih eden pilotlara ilişkin paylaşımları yayınlamıştı.
